Wedding Belle

Well, it's Monday again... the first Monday in 2013. And for me Monday is all about the Mojo sketch.

But before I forget, I just want to let you know that I am having a GIVEAWAY in conjunction with the PolkaDoodles/Emma Canning Challenge and Blog Hop. The challenge champion will be lumbered with an envy-inducing mega prize. And just for my followers, I have a little treat too. Swing by HERE for more details.

This week's Mojo production was a struggle but I finally decided on a wedding card. The daughter of some dear friends will be walking up the aisle in March, and I might as well get started on the card. The bride-to-be is organised and has everything under control. The mother of the bride-to-be ...well, not so much. She is shattered that her only daughter will be moving out of the family home to start a new life in a far-away land just 8 houses away. It's too much for any mother to bear, I reckon!

My inspiration came from MojoMonday #275 for the sketch; The Shabby Tea Room #148 "Elegance" and photo; Crafty Bloggers Network #7 "Flowers"; The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop #18 "Flowers & Ribbon"; and  Other "Anything Goes" challenges: Creative Creations Challenges #1" and Platypus Creek #23. Hop on over to Make It Monday #123 for more wonderful creations.

Here's my card. The pics aren't great...I'm still getting used to my new camera. Just to put the colours into perspective...we have pale blue, cream and white.

The patterned papers are from Wild Rose Studio's "Wedding Bells" 6x6 pad.

The greeting is by WaltzingMouse, stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black  and cut out with Spellbinders Ribbon Tags, sponged with TH's Antiue Linen. I adhered 3 pale cream mulberry roses and randomly dotted some pearls. To hold the  ribbon tag in  place I used some sheer white ribbon.

On the inside, I stamped another greeting from the stamp set  and framed it with dots stamped with Memento Dessert Sand.

I'll make a matching gift box at a later date. Thanks for stopping by and have a productive Monday. I'm off to read (re-read) the instruction manual of the camera. If you want to have a got at my Blog Candy, you'll find all into info you need HERE. See you soon!

Beijinhos!
